Description:
It used to house the 'Federated Malay States' administration in 1897, then the High Court and Supreme Court in 1972. It is now occupied by the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture. The first example of Moghul architecture in Malaysia, this elegant symmetrical brick structure features a 41-meter high clock tower, arched colonnades and chopper domes.

Masjid Jamek (Jamek Mosque) 1909

Description:
Masjid Jamek is the first brick mosque in the city. It was constructed on the first Malay Burial Ground in Kuala Lumpur. Feature Moghul architecture and heritage, it has three Moghul domes, a courtyard, minarets set at a symmetrical composition of the mosque and smaller chhatris surrounding it. Today, this mosqur is the only place in Kuala Lumpur where coconut trees still survive the onslaught of modernity to give the place a countryside feeling.
